Item Description

The process of building this coffee table was very fluid and the design developed as I built. I used a single plank of Recycled Douglas Fir for the top and legs with Black Walnut inlays that accentuate the curves and tapers, highlighting the rippling grain of the Quilted Maple stretchers. This piece is for sale at the Art Junction Gallery in Whistler, British Columbia

Testimonials

"We are very happy with the door the Burns designed and built for the main entrance to our home. With a mix of hand crafted wood and glass design, it is a unique work of art as well as a well functioning door. It makes a huge difference to our experience of home to have such a beautiful door. Burns was receptive, reliable and creative person to work with – including our ideas in the project and also bringing his own creativity and experience. We highly recommend working with Burns Jennings."

"Burns has been a delight to work with. He listened carefully as we described what we wanted. He worked collaboratively with us in the design of the pieces, offering creative suggestions that drew on his strong sense of design. His craftsmanship is clearly evident in the pieces he created. And he provided clear instructions about how to care for those pieces so we can enjoy them for years to come. We are very pleased, and recommend Burns without any hesitations."

"Thank you Burns for having your exceptional and unique custom art furniture in our gallery in the recent exhibition, “The Art of the Landscape” at the Ferry Building Gallery. Your work speaks to the natural landscape of the West-coast and I am in awe of the way in which you juxtapose the various types and shapes of wood and stone to create truly brilliant one-of-a-kind furniture. Our gallery patrons and the visiting public very much admired and appreciated your designs and craftsmanship"
