Testimonials

"We are very happy with the door the Burns designed and built for the main entrance to our home. With a mix of hand crafted wood and glass design, it is a unique work of art as well as a well functioning door. It makes a huge difference to our experience of home to have such a beautiful door. Burns was receptive, reliable and creative person to work with – including our ideas in the project and also bringing his own creativity and experience. We highly recommend working with Burns Jennings."

"We first hired Burns to custom-build a mantle piece for a challenging corner containing a gas fire-place. The results were stylish and functional! When we began looking for a coffee table and an entrance ‘closet’ for our newly renovated home, we were unable to find anything interesting within our price range. Burns was, once again, able to design two gorgeous pieces which are both functional and artistic. It was a pleasure working with an artist who could listen to our wish-list and make it happen at a price that worked for us! I highly recommend Burns and Cornice Furniture if you would like fine furnishings to suit the style of your home."

"My name is Daniel Parke, and I am principal of Salal Architecture, a small design oriented architecture firm based on Bowen Island, near Vancouver. I have known Burns for over 3 years. I initially worked with him in the design and construction of his own house, and he has also built custom millwork and furniture in my own home. I always enjoy working with Burns. He is a true craftsman. I meet many different trades on job sites, and Burns is one of a rare breed of highly talented craftsmen who are increasingly difficult to find. He is technically very good with wood, he understands design and aesthetics, is very detailed oriented, is very current with issues around sustainability, is very professional and is a great communicator. I have no hesitation in recommending Burns Jennings. Sincerely,"
